Was a little worried the chrome coating might feel slick or cheap, but it’s actually got a nice grip and glides through thick hair without snagging. The ice tempering seems legit—used it on three full cuts and it still feels like it did out of the box.
The 1/4" cut length is perfect for what I needed, and the chrome coating already feels slick and rust-proof after a few washes. These blades came out of the box noticeably cold and heavy, which tells me the heat treatment did its job—used them on three dogs back-to-back and they still glide like new
I was skeptical about the ice tempering claim, but after a full haircut on thick hair, this 1/4" blade still glides through without pulling. The chrome coating makes cleanup effortless, too. Definitely my new favorite guard.
